About Us

We started Clyde Odd Jobs with a simple toolkit and a goal to help our neighbours tackle those nagging household tasks. As we grew, we realised our true passion and where we saw the biggest results for our clients was outdoors.
Today, we’ve traded the indoor "bits and bobs" for professional-grade pressure washers and garden shears. While the "Odd Jobs" name stuck, our focus is now laser-sharp: bringing life back to Southside gardens.

We specialise in making your outdoor space a place you actually want to spend time in. No more looking out the window at overgrown grass or grime-covered paving.
-
Garden Maintenance: From regular lawn mowing and hedge trimming to seasonal tidy-ups. We keep your green space looking sharp so you don't have to spend your Sunday doing it.
-
Professional Pressure Washing: We blast away years of Scottish weather from driveways, patios, and decking. You’ll be amazed at the original color hiding under that moss and grime.

Based right here in Glasgow’s Southside, we aren't a massive, faceless franchise. We’re your local specialists. Whether you’re in Croftfoot, Clarkston, Giffnock, or Newton Mearns, we know the area, we know the weather (plenty of rain to keep those weeds growing!), and we know how to get the job done right.

-
The Right Gear: We use professional equipment to ensure a finish you can’t get with DIY tools.
-
Reliable Service: We show up on time, work hard, and leave your property tidy.
-
Local Trust: Most of our work comes from word-of-mouth in the Southside community.

Don't let the moss take over. Let us handle the hard work while you enjoy the results.

Clyde Odd Jobs Timeline
Dec 2022
Founded by three local southside guys. A base was set up in Eaglesham consisting of a garage for tools and a small attic space as an office.
Trial & Error
July 2023
Grant decides to sell his shares to the remaining owners and pursue a successful career in sales. Our storage facility and office now moves to Newton Mearns.
Amber Weather Alert
Jan-June 2024
Hard work is paying off. Repeat customers and lots of new customers arriving. The workload is getting tough and storage space is running out.
Base Upgraded
July 2024
Work is very busy and both business partners want more. They make the decision to part ways with separate companies. Since the original idea was Michael's it was only fair to purchase Rubens shares and let Michael keep Clyde Odd Jobs.
New Staff
Jan 2025
A red weather alert causes chaos across the area and fills the winter diary again. The rise of other small businesses in the area and across the country is on the rise.
Hard Graft
July-November 2025
A significant team member becomes very unwell after a bacterial infection caused by a cat scratch. After many doctor appointments, its clear he is not getting better and will need to take time off for the foreseeable.
Illness Strikes Again
Jan-Feb 2026
The light at the end of the tunnel. Michael successfully signs a deal to take over another gardening business in the southside bringing in lots of new regular clients to an already strong foundation. This sets 2026 off on an amazing foot!
Clyde Odd Jobs Is Founded
Jan-June 2023
A lot of learning, trial and error and hard-work got us to a very busy season ahead and individual roles in the business were becoming clear.
Grant Leaves
January 2024
Having made it through the season and work slowing down for winter, an Amber weather alert brings down fences and trees all over and every local business is swamped with repair work. This got us through winter.
Appreciating Repeat Work
June 2024
Office and storage facilities are moved to a much larger location in Carmunnock and rent is no longer free. Extra outdoor storage facility is also built along with a new access road.
Separate Ways
July-Dec 2024
Michael continues and takes on more staff to manage the workload.
Red Weather Alert
Feb-Jun 2025
The team works hard to continue growing the business. One thing is becoming apparent though, and that is the importance of regular repeating work. All the running around for smaller jobs is time consuming and very unpredictable. We are starting to understand and value the importance of our amazing regular maintenance clients.
Illness Strikes
Oct-Dec 2025
If the situation wasn't already tough enough. Michael gets hit with the flu, followed by Glandular Fever. This led to two months off work and a very slow transition back into full time.
